Coming out is important
The project was implemented by the “DiverCity” Social-Cultural, Human Rights Defender Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) within the framework of the sub-grant provided by the PINK Human Rights Defender Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to the 11th of October, National Coming out Day, with the financial support of the Swedish government.
Project implementation dates
September and October.
Project purpose
To publish a coming-out video series that includes life stories of LGBT people and allies encouraging others to change attitudes about the LGBT people and increase their visibility.
Program problems
To raise awareness about coming out and October 11th that will also help break down misconceptions and stereotypes about LGBT people as well as to involve LGBT people and allies in pro-LGBT activities by speaking out about real life stories of the community, thus contributing to the change of the attitude towards LGBT people.
