During the meeting, it was highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the trans* community in our country, sharing specific instances of discrimination and violence. The organization presented the initiatives aimed at protecting the rights of trans* people and stressed the urgent need for effective legislative and social measures to address these issues.

These topics were discussed:

  • How do trans* people live in Armenia and why is it important to take responsibilities to stand for gender equality.
  • What can we do to make the Armenian Government to take action to care about trans* people in Armenia and make this problem a priority.

The organization was encouraged by the strong support expressed by the embassy representatives and representatives of the international organizations. They shared our concern and emphasized the importance of continuing this vital dialogue and cooperation. Their commitment to advancing trans* rights in Armenia and exploring opportunities for joint projects and programs was particularly heartening.
